Mission Statement

Veterans on Deck works to prevent and treat the invisible wounds that affect members of our Armed Forces, during and after their service, through a sailing program which provides holistic support and resilience training.

VoD is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible. Please help us keep our boats afloat!

Without stigma and barriers, veterans can transition into civilian life as healthy and successful members of society.

To learn how you can become involved, please send an email to:

veteransondeck@gmail.com

For the safety of our client's and crew, the following protocols will be mandatory:

For the foreseeable future, we will require a short, four-question health screening form. This form will be answered & signed by each participant of the sail, including the crew.  We will have on the boat, a no-touch forehead thermometer that must be used to take each person temperature, to be logged on their health screening form prior to boarding the boat.  We will require all persons aboard to wear a face mask which will be supplied by us, for the duration of the sail.

We will limit the maximum number of persons on each boat to no more than 4, including the crew. Of course, preference will be given to veterans first. There will be no sharing of water bottles, food, sunscreen, or any other items while on the boats.

We will have disinfectant wipes on each boat, and Captains or First Mates will wipe down common touchpoints after each sail.
